“Both our bedroom and bathroom were very large, the bed was super comfortable, we had pleasant views from the windows, the outdoor pool was beautifully warm and the proprietress was very pleasant and helpful. A bonus for us was that the hotel was a genuine chateau from the 16th century. Although it had received a makeover in the 19th, the rooms were still of generous proportions and some of the parquet flooring was from the 15th century.”

“Excellent location - approximately 5 minutes from Samur. Very good grounds for walking in and heated swimming pool - leaves from trees needed removing. Good parking. Excellent breakfast and exceptionally large room and bathroom with walk in shower.”

“This turned out to be a lovely surprise! The Chateau is in beautiful quiet grounds but within easy reach of Saumur. The room we had on the 1st floor was spacious and very clean with a large modern clean bathroom. What sets this place apart however is the exceptional food provided by the family. We had dinner on both nights and although there is no choice the meal was simply delicious and of an exceptionally high standard.”

“The location was great for touring the sights of the loire. The hosts were great and the the lady of The house prepared us dinner, which was excellent. There was an extensive wine list with local wines at reasonable prices!”
