“This was my second visit to the hotel, and it certainly won't be the last. It's the perfect place to stay in Rio. Everyone who works there, from the chefs to the business owner, couldn't do enough to help us and make our stay a special & memorable one. Ricardo, the hotel manager, spoke excellent English and was so friendly and that made the stay feel personalised giving it that extra touch....we were fortunate enough to be given a leaving treat from the hotel owner herself, a home made medicinal drink which worked wonders for me. That was something I never expected nor had experienced before - but which added to the fantastic experience which I had yet again enjoyed at Gávea Tropical Boutique Hotel. We will be back next year, as I now miss having my breakfast with the monkeys who also visit the hotel every morning!”
