“The staff were very helpful and genuinely welcoming.”
“Excellent location, right in the city center (small, very nice and charming town anyway). Not more than a mile away from the city station but big height difference (there is a funicular service close to the hotel). Well connected by public transport. Classic, old-school vibe in the building, facilities aren't modern but aren't in bad shape either. You know where you're getting there. Don't expect anything techy, modern of too fancy. Spacious room, fairly well equipped, comfortable bed. Decent bathroom with bathtub and separated WC. Probably the fastest check-in I've ever done. They just had my key ready and all paperwork done, so it took literally 25-30 seconds.”
“The property was fine. Room clean, nice breakfast.”
“The room was impressive. Biggest rooms we have ever had in all our years travelling in Europe. Great location. We always look for good coffee and found it at Beanz just around the corner.”
“Very good location, right in the city center, walk distance to main locations of a rather small (but lovely) city center. Well connected by public transport. Train stations isn't far (but uphill towards the hotel), funicular is closed to the hotel. Probably the quickest and most efficient check in I've ever seen. Helpful staff. Nice people. I have a problem with my reservation (totally my fault) and they took care of me regardless, much appreciated customer care. Spacious room, fairly quiet. Comfortable bed. Good bathroom with separated W.C. Just ok breakfast, does the trick for a short stay.”
“Really lovely classy hotel. Very friendly staff who helped me with planning my excursions into the The Pyrenees.”
“We have booked 4 rooms (all the same price) - 1 room was beautiful and big, 2 rooms very nice and standard size and 1 room dark, small, old, worn down and with bad smell. We were able to change the room with the bad smell, but got only another old room, worn down room with scaffolding and construction works in the morning in front of our window.”
“Being in the centre of Pau meant we didn't have to drive anywhere, Thursday is music evenings around the town this time of year which was fun, the old quarter has some very lovely fish restaurants and a lovely walk around the Chateau, with cobbled streets.”
“The room was large and the beds very comfortable. Excellent bathroom with a big bath.”
“The hotel is ideally located in the town centre, within walking distance of the chateau and museums. The standard double room we had was adequate, the bed being very comfortable. The WiFi worked well. Very pleasant and helpful staff on the Reception desk. The underground car park (once you have found it with the help of the hotel staff!) is only 50m away and is secure.”
