“The woman at the desk offered to upgrade our room to a King at no charge because the room we were supposed to get still had the previous guests belongings in it - he had split. When I explained we wanted 2 beds, she called the manager and we were given a double queen room that previously been a non-smoking room. She provided an ashtray with a smile and we were very comfortable. We kept our beverage in the refrigerator. The people above us (children, I think) stomped around until about 10:00 PM, but then quieted down. Bedtime? The train tracks behind the Motel provided some extra noise, but I wanted the window open, so my fault. We were quite comfortable, overslept, and had a wonderful breakfast the next morning. So many choices! We arrived back home in Mpls. at 1:00 and still weren't hungry!”
