“Loved the decoration in the main lobby, bar and restaurant areas. Really nicely decorated for Christmas, lovely atmosphere. Gardens are perfect. Menu selection was quite unique and really matched the hotel history and feel.”
“1. The room was cozy and there's a lil sitting area outside which is nice. The water heater is good. 2. We were upgraded to a Suite so that was amazing. The Suite was big and spacious yet cozy at the same time. 3. Service was excellent especially from the security guy. He recommended places for us to eat, etc. 4. Breakfast is complimentary and it is your typical English Breakfast - Cornflakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, mushroom and croissant / bread. It's the same menu every day. 5. The compound is very well kept and has a beautiful garden with a wide range of flowers and plants. 6. The main house also has a nice fire place with a sitting area. They have a bar but we did not have the time to check it out. Generally, we had a great time and will definitely be going back.”
“The staff was super helpful and the food to die for. The homemade jams and scones were amazing. The property is a little worn, but that adds to the charm. You really feel like you have stepped back in time. Breakfast is a full English breakfast and dinner is an elegant affair. The host seats you I the bar, where you sit next to the fireplace and order from a wide variety of British favorites. Once your dinner is ready, you are seated at a candlelit table. Bonus - the Christmas decorations were put up while I was there and they were so festive. The garden is also quite lovely. Tanah Rata is within walking distance as well, if you are up for a bit of a stroll.”
