“We did not manage to see Mount Meili due to heavy fog. Our driver said he was in the area 4-5 times before and never managed to see the mountain at it's full beauty. But the trip to Meili was nice, we drove there through the "old road" and although it was snowy and foggy we could see the area is beautiful like European Alps sort of view. A bit below we enjoyed a stunning fall red-orange-yellow forest view. The hotel, as all Songstam properties we stayed at was most charming and delightful, huge rooms, nicely decorated with Tibetean authentic decor. The food is good, service is attentive and everybody is really nice. Most charming, comfortable house.”
“Staying at Songtsam Meili, you'll feel like you were the guest of the lord of a mansion rather than staying at a hotel. The lodge is exquisitely decorated yet there is a homely vibe about it. My room is beautifully furnished and has a picture window that looks out at the Meili Snow Mountain and I literally lay on the bay window seat staring out for hours. The best part though are the staff who are always attentive but never intrusive. The cooking's always great and I enjoyed very much the hike I went on. ”

“Location and everything else! We go bird watching around the really small village and had seen about 15+ different kinds of bird. A small creek was on the pathway so it was such a wonderful experience when staying whole day in the hotel and walking around many times as you like. Food is awesome too.”
