What guests loved the most

“Pat was very friendly and welcoming. She speaks excellent English and gave us lots of tips on what to do in the area. The rooms were great, spacious, very comfortable and clean. The shower was a delight ! Breakfast was all home made and plenty of it.”

, Argentina

“Great location, friendly staff. Hotel offers plenty of options in terms of places to spend time on the property. The games in the public living room area are a great touch as is the kitchen for use of the guests.”

, USA

“Location was great, staff, really friendly, and happy to help plan trips, breakfast was really good... rooms/bathroom were very clean, plenty of filtered drinking water available.”

, New Zealand

“This hotel is situated on the mountain slope of Tilcara, which makes it a perfect starting point for local hikes. The distance to the city centre is also very doable by foot. The hotel owner, Pat, will personally make sure that you have a great stay and provides detailed advise on what to do during the day and recommends great places to have dinner at. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend the hotel to other travellers. ”

, Germany

“Beautiful location, rooms are luxurious and very modern & trendy decorated. Super bed. Very friendly & helpful reception. Best breakfast that we had in Argentina”

, Belgium

“The welcome and assistance given to visitors in enjoying and planning their stay in the local area is second to none. The hotel is quite and very comfortable with spacious, well-appointed rooms. The addition of home-made preserves at breakfast is a nice touch.”

, United Kingdom

“Bath and bathing gasgets were prepared for the baby, as well as the crib. It was lovely!”

, Spain

“Very cute little hotel. The owner is very friendly and a wealth of knowledge about the local area. Room was large and clean with a comfy bed. Gated parking, but just for a few cars. Couple of Tilcara tips: Eat dinner at El Nuevo Progresso Restaurante, it's excellent. Go visit bodega Fernando Dupont, or at least try to taste their wines...if you're into that kind of thing. The drive up to the Hornocal is worth it (why settle for 7 colors, when you can have 14!)”

, USA

“Pat who runs Patio Alto is amazing, helpful and a wealth of information. With the rest of the staff, she made us feel at home. There's careful attention to details in Patio Alto. It is beautifully decorated with great taste, the breakfast is wonderful and there are daily fruity snacks. The beds were very comfortable. Everything was impeccably clean and the bathroom was very spacious. Patio Alto is located upwards from the main town square. The view from the room is just great. Julia, the house dog is warm and fuzzy.”
