“Friendly hotel and staff. The staff were extremely knowledgeable about the local events. The food was brilliant and plenty of it. Parking outside the door. Very close to the beach and sea.”
“The manageress was helpful and accommodating even though she was not expecting my dog ( I was unable to add my four legged friend to the booking on my tablet as the send button in the extra comments box was covered by the qwerty keyboard and when I shut that down the message box disappeared. However my dog was welcomed and soon made herself at home in a very nicely presented spacious family room, all to ourselves (no 18 looking over the car park and up at the castle) There was adequate off road parking immediately opposite the hotel with limited street lighting (Park in the middle) The sand and pebble beach was about 150 meters from the main entrance and a lot quieter than the main beech on the other side of the castle which was a lot more sandy and 400 meters away. This small beach was partially lit by a sodium street light so Ideal for a dark night pooch stroll before bed. (Dogs not allowed on the beech between April and October)”

“Hotel in a good location . Bed was fine and room clean. Breakfast was OK and service last thing at night with a coffee and whisky in the lounge excellent. Oh but I messed up the TV in my room and had to get the owner to come and sort it out!”

“Having stayed here before I knew it was an old hotel but very friendly, relaxed and comfortable. The bed was exceedingly comfortable and the furnishings very pleasant. Having a dog with us caused no problem. Help and advice as to destinations for the day was readily given at the breakfast table.”
