“Great location and setting , friendly staff , building qwerky conversion of watermill Dinner was expensive but interesting cuisine - a positive to the stay”
“Loved this quaint hotel situated by the river. Yes, the bedrooms are "old" style French hotel but the restaurant was great and the dinner and breakfast could not be faulted. Bedroom was clean, the bed comfortable and the bathroom was fine for a night's stay and the room price reflects this - we wanted comfort and a good night's sleep and it met our expectations for that. The restaurant is the attraction at Le Moulin and the evening meal was just fabulous - for a Monday night it was packed and with a range of French, English and Dutch travellers including a tour group - all of whom appeared very satisfied. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. The food quality excellent. Breakfast was wonderful too. Local jams, honey and gorgeous croissants along with locally made yoghurt and fresh fruits and delicious coffee - all beautifully presented.”
“The restaurant, food and breakfast were excellent. Location very picturesque by the river.”
“The room was large enough but, as in many other hotels we have stayed in, the shower room was small. However, everything was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The fact that the decor was a little dated and tired really didn't matter to us. We had a really good dinner and the wine choice was extensive. It is definitely somewhere we would stay again if we were in the area and would happily recommend it to family and friends.”
“Amazing location on a dammed section of the Indre river - very picturesque old converted water mill. There is a stunning terrace to the rear with a view of this idyllic setting. We booked here because of the location and because of the restaurant reputation. The wine list is the biggest I have ever seen and the staff knew their stuff! We arrived too late for lunch and after a walk in the surrounding countryside we sat on the terrace with a bottle of a local wine which was served with delightful canapés. Later we had a wonderful dinner in the restaurant which was presented at gourmet standard and was plentiful and delicious. Breakfast had local honey, jams, good bread and coffee, but no hams and only a pre-wrapped cheese, which was a little disappointing as the cheese trolley the previous night had 23 cheeses on offer! But still a great little hotel and would stay any time!”
“Gin & Tonic and dinner were excellent! Beds were most comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choices.”
“Calm, near the motorway. The restaurant is so good, it's a litle bit expensive but it's so good that you forget the price.”
“Fabulous location, beautiful surroundings, yet a short drive from the motorway. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was really excellent, interesting and well-presented. A remarkable wine list. Very good value for money.”
“Such a charming nice place 4 minutes from motorway. The restaurant was superb”
“Clean rooms, friendly staff and a nice location. Dinner available alongside the pond outside, lovely setting.”
