“What an amazing hotel! Several beautiful historic buildings in a huge park; a real oasis of calm in the middle of this huge city. Just wonderful! Our room in the club building was enormous, as was the marble bathroom. The bed was big and comfortable. We had a balcony with a view of a waterfall and fountains. There were birds singing in the tree next to it. The club lounge was a trip back to the thirties; wood panelling, high ceilings and incredibly big sparkling chandeliers. Very good breakfast. The Afternoon tea came with tiny sandwiches and cakes which were delicious. Happy Hour was a complimentary drink with a complete dinner buffet. Amazing value for money! The hotel is ideally situated to discover the former French concession; People's Square is only a short taxi drive away.”
