“Very comfortable little hotel, close to great restaurants and the historic part of town. Very friendly reception. Spacious rooms with a SUPERB bathroom with hair dryer and shampoo and great linens. Great comfortable beds. Very clean! Easy parking across the street. Very quiet even with a room with a huge window to the street.”
“Very small room, but comfortable. There were no windows, only a skylight, which was OK. The location is good - within walking distance from the main attractions. Parking in a public garage - across the road from the hotel.”
“Wonderful welcome from Madame who made us feel at home and asked us which language, French or English , we wanted to converse in. When we chose French she spoke slowly and didn't mock our rather basic skills. She gave us helpful advice and there were a wide selection of eateries in the same street. Very good continental breakfast with home made jams.”
“Clean. Bathroom for a bedroom for three, quite big. Confortable ves.”
“Small and cozy hotel. Walking distance to downtown and sights. Very nice staff. Great service, and good breakfast. Parking for motorcycles in the backyard.”
“Excellent location, friendly staff, nice room, plenty of parking nearby and free from 18:30pm-9:00 am.”
“It was a tiny room and bathroom but it had the basics. Still, the room was clean and artistically decorated. There was a fan but no air-conditioner and at the time of my staying at the hotel weather was extremely hot. Breakfast was good enough but always the same and comprising sweet things mostly. Staff was very helpful but not all of them spoke English.”
“15-20 minutes on foot to train station, in the old town. Room pretty quiet and the quiet surroundings.”
“Breakfast was simple (croissant, bread, butter, jam, orange juice and coffee; no cheese or meat) but plentiful. Service was friendly and attentive but not imposing. Room was basic, with the ensuite as a waist-high partition - but I bought the 'simple' option and did not expect more. Very central location and a BRILLIANT restaurant a few doors down - the "R" restaurant with a chef passionate about cheese. Expensive but gorgeous food. I paid more for the meal than the room - but I shall never forget that meal !”
“The location is very good for Tours--5 minutes walk from lively Place Plumereau, 15 from the cathedral (excellent ethnic restaurants here), 20 from the train station. Most excursions to chateaux leave from there. Also a bus stop in front of the hotel, with 4 lines that go to the station. Staff here are extremely friendly and helpful.”
