“The location is spectacular. They are essentially off grid using wind and solar energy sources. The food was delicious, but maybe a bit meager in helping size for those persons backpacking the GR 11. The tour of the small custom brewery was quite nice, especially since it was mare by the brewmeister. I loved the place.”
“This was a great hotel as a base for a walking holiday in the Anso/Hecho valleys. An evening meal of local dishes is available at a very reasonable price and there is even a brewery at the back providing draught local ales. Breakfast is fine if a little limited . The nearest town, Hecho , is 10 minutes drive away for petrol, food, a chemists, bars and restaurants. The views from the rooms are fantastic and it is a very peaceful setting. It has a lovely garden to relax in and soak up the sights and a beer after a long hike. If you want to do hiking or bird watching this is an ideal location with friendly hosts.”

“We loved this hotel with it's welcoming hosts Lucia and Imanol, who make every effort to provide guests with an enjoyable stay.Our room was spotlessly clean and warm ,with a stunning view of the mountains from our window.The breakfast and evening meals were simple but tasty.We would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to go walking in the Pyrenees and for exploring the surrounding area, the pretty village of Hecho being less than 10 mins drive away, which incidentally, has a lovely Panaderia baking the most delicious bread and cakes!”
“Lucia and her husband were just so lovely and welcoming. Our Spanish isn't very good and their English was amazing. Really made us feel welcome and had a lot of knowledge of the area for short walks as we aren't hikers. Definitely will recommend this hotel to friends. And will be going back again one day.”

“Location of this hotel is fantastic with views across the Hecho valley. A very peaceful and beautiful area for walking, we did not see any other walkers all day as we hiked up to the lake above the head of the valley. Bed was comfy and plenty more f hot water for showers. Staff were helpful and I would stay again.”

“For us this was an overnight stop but clearly its unique location is great for walkers and nature lovers (birds especially). We loved its simplicity and the enthusiastic owners (who have their own micro brewery) added greatly to the experience. Food was uncomplicated but spot on.”
