“The staff was exceptionally accommodating to us, especially considering that we were fleeing Hurricane Irma and had a dog. Originally we were to stay one night here and then move to a competitor hotel in Asheville. That hotel, however, wasn't pet friendly, even under the circumstances and would not rent us a room, even though we pre-booked. When we called to book with HIE again, they were very kind and understanding. They even gave guests displaced by the storm care packages for the road with water, Gatorade, protein bars and chocolate. We felt that Aaron, Sarah, Megan, Tiffany and everyone was outstanding. We would recommend this hotel to any of our friends or family.”

“The breakfast was great. We loved the pancakes. Both breakfast attendants were extremely friendly and attentive. Everyone that walked in got a cheerful "good morning" and a "how are you". The room we stayed in was very nice and clean. The beds were super comfy and the pillows were great. All the ladies at the desk on all shifts were great. We interacted more with the ladies on the 3-11 shift and they were awesome. Extremely friendly and helpful. All the staff that we met was so friendly and eager to say hello and ask us about our stay. There was one fellow, I think his name was J.K. that may not be right but he had an initial name, he was fantastic and super friendly. I recommend anyone to stay here you will not be disappointed.”
