“A lovely 'older' style 5 star hotel - built in 1934 by the French and still has 'some' French style about it. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Excellent bathroooms. Proximity to Shanghai underground is good. 5 minutes to nearest station. Some nice eateries in the area.”

“The staff are very helpful and more than capable of doing everything in their power to make sure you have everything you need. My Chinese is not that great at the moment, so someone is always able to either help me translate or to at least tell me the words and phrases. The food is great! One reason I didn't spend so much is that the breakfast was complimentary throughout the stay and very delicious. The gift shops are divine! If I have more time, I would love a longer stay.”
