“Fantastic landscaping and great pool (as long as you make sure you arrive there before 11am) with beautiful mountain views. The rooms were very comfortable and above average for China. Staff was as helpful as they could (their English is limited, warning). Chinese restaurant was pretty good.”

“Love the pool and the garden, and the feel/ design/ architecture of the building. It feels like you are miles away from the city, so if that's what you are looking for it's perfect. The staff is very friendly, always happy to help out. The free bikes were great, wonderful cycling and hiking in the area! Would definitely recommend and come back.”

The hotel is very luxurious and the rooms are comfortable and clean.The pool is a lovely place to spend the day and we enjoyed our stay. “Deluxe rooms were VERY spacious, with Apple TV, Bose soundsystem, luxurious bathroom with Japanese toilet, two bathrobes per person (one bathrobe-fabric, one light cotton). We booked one deluxe room and one superior room, but got a free upgrade to two deluxe rooms. We also got free late check-out. Delicious and sumptuous breakfast in the beautifully decorated British bar. Food in Chinese restaurant is heavenly, and not very expensive. Beautiful indoor and outdoor pool, lavish garden with view at the hills. The garden is the real star of this hotel. Good location, close to the tea plantations and the bamboo-forest, 20 min. by taxi to the West Lake. VERY good value for money! Perfect place to relax at the end of a tiring trip through China!”
“This hotel is an oasis of peace and tranquility away from the West Lake buzz, but still within distance to that location. The best part is to head into the mountains in early April to visit the small, picturesque tea leave-growing villages... a breath-taking panorama great for hiking or mountain-biking. They upgraded our room with a balcony with mountain views. The hotel garden is amazing!”
