“We're relatively new to guest houses having almost always chosen hotels in the past. But there are lots of them in South Africa it seems so we thought we'd give them a go. It's hard to imagine many of them exceed the standards of the Cinnamon Lodge. The whole property is beautifully appointed and decorated and the welcome is impeccable (thank you Ann). Our suite (room 10) was of a very high standard and certainly had the wow factor. If you're heading for Wilderness, find this tranquil oasis for your stay.”

“Room was lovely and all facilities were excellent. We asked the receptionist to book us for dinner at a local restaurant walking distance for 7.30pm. As we were leaving for the restaurant at 7.25pm we asked a different receptionist if the booking had been made . She said it had been made for 7pm but we had not been informed of this. She rang the restaurant to be explain we were on our way but there was now no tables available. The receptionist was however very apologetic and made us a booking at another restaurant which was very good”

“I am sensitive to light at night while I sleep - we live on a farm where there are no street lights for miles. The heavy duty block out curtains were great but the street light filtered through the top of the curtain. This affected my sleep as I did not bring sleep 'goggles'. I would have been thrilled if there was a pair provided next to my bed or even better if you ensure that a pelmet is erected above the curtain. I was so frustrated and of course I would never have bothered the staff at 2 o'clock in the morning! You asked x”
