“We loved the location, a very big farm with a lot of facilities. Despite we stayed for only one night and we think we were one of the few guests the hosts were very friendly and prepared us a great meal.”

“A lot of space and new! Very clean and the food in the restaurant was excellent! It was also very nice that we could take second helpings if we wanted! The dessert was amazing! Fantastic view from our bedroom! The shower was amazing! Towel heater in the bathroom! I could have stayed here much longer!”

“A new property with everything new in the rooms and in the cottages. Very nice shower. There are husky dogs and horses. The hotel is located secludedly among swamps and tundra forests and mountains. A very beautiful peaceful place for people who want to get away from traffic and hectic life. The hotel has a nice common lounge area with comfortable seating and peaceful view. Nice breakfast in beautiful restaurant (dinner can be served there as well). WiFi is good. There are rivers and lakes for fishing and trails for hiking.”

“We just needed a place to stay on our way back home from the north. But what a place: in the middle of (almost) nowhere you come to this very nice and new Lodge. Very friendly welcome, from staff and retired sled dogs! Beautiful new room, big window facing the never ending birches. Plenty of sockets to charge all appliances. A shower with actual closing doors, not like so many Scandinavian open showers that are still hard to get used to.... Huge but cozy lounge with plenty of space to hang around. And last but not least, very good food with interesting and local choices in the restaurant which is open on weekends, or if there are guests staying who want to eat! Since we stayed in summer we can't tell about the 'real' Aurora Mountain Lodge which is of course specialized for winter, but if it is anything like we experienced out of season, then Wow!”

“New hotel - sports lodge aiming at winter adventure, with snowmobile excursions and dog-sledge tours. Low season now, all equipment was there waiting for the snow again, the 45 dogs had summer holiday. The location is however perfect for a night's stop on the route by car to northern Norway-a comfortable new hotel with spacy rooms and excellent value for money compared to the "towns" Gällivare and Kiruna. Not much to do in the evening except having a beer and eating a good dinner and you may perhaps miss the TV but be assured: there is nothing more in Gällivare and Kiruna except the TV, for 1.5x the price.”

“Waren de enige gasten, toch voor ons gekookt en ontbijt alsof er 100 gasten waren. Mooie, uitgestrekte omgeving. Ideaal ook als tussenstop (zoals wij) tussen de Noordkaap en de Lofoten.”

“L'accueil très chaleureux d'une belle équipe jeune, leur connaissance de l'allemand plus facile pour nous, le lieu en pleine nature de montagne, le contact avec leurs 52 chiens de traîneaux, la tranquillité et les chemins de randonnée”

“Ruhige Lage, superschöne Unterkunft, Gastgeber sehr engagiert und freundlich! Alles perfekt auch für einen längeren Urlaub. Viele Aktivitäten möglich in den Weiten Lapplands. Die schwimmende Sauna auf dem See ist einmalig!!”

“De Sauna op het meer ! Top ik wil zeker nog eens terug maar dan in de winter. in de winter met de honden weg lijkt me ook erg gaaf ! of met de sneeuwscooter.”
