“This resort offers very affordable spacious apartments a few minutes walk uphill from the main building. You can use the spa facilities in the main building for 5 euro pp. There are walking tracks and a small chapel to visit on top of the hill. The staff at the reception were wonderful. The tourist tax is 4.50 euro per night but for that you get a Sauerland SommerCard that gives free entry to 39 Sauerland attractions. Amazing value. A perfect place for a relaxing spring or autumn break.”

“The attic room (loft) was very large and comfortable with plenty space for a family of 5 (1 baby in a cot + 2 children). Nice mixture of guests in terms of ages and nationalities. Children's menu for evening dinners. Close to downtown Winterberg.”
