Turin (or Torino) is Italy's automobile capital. That's thanks to Fiat, which came of age during World War I, and now enjoys a virtual monopoly among Italian car manufacturers. Well, carbon dating relegated the Shroud to "most remarkable forgery in history" status, and it's hidden from public view in a locked chapel. Yet, relics in Turin's National Historic Artillery Museum and various automobile exhibits are readily accessible to tourists.
